Posted by Clare Low on
Hello everyone, today I am going to show you how to make a stamp brush on Procreate!
What you need:
An iPad with the Procreate app
An Apple pencil
That's it!
I have a YouTube video tutorial for this also so if you want to follow along with me you can check that out right here:
For those of you who prefer a visual blog to refer back to quickly, keep on reading!
STEP ONE
Create a new layer and change the background to transparent or a colour that is not white, as we are going to use a white brush (any brush you want!)

STEP TWO
Create your chosen shape in white!

STEP THREE
Press on the layer and then the image and select copy

STEP FOUR
Open the brush library and press the + button

STEP FIVE
Toggle 'SHAPE' from the left menu and click on 'Shape Source'

STEP SIX
Press 'Import' and click on 'Paste'

STEP SEVEN
Select 'STROKE PATH' on the left and then set the spacing to 100%

STEP EIGHT
Next, select 'APPLE PENCIL' and set the opacity to 0

STEP NINE
In 'PROPERTIES' toggle the 'Use Stamp Preview' to ON and then set the 'Maximum Size' - I try and keep my size around 400-500%

STEP TEN
Finally, select 'ABOUT THE BRUSH' - name your brush, tag your name and you can also sign your name too!
Press DONE and your brush pen is ready to use!

TADA - it's that easy! If you give this a go please tag me on Instagram (@okay_doodle) i'd love to see your designs!
I am also giving away a set of 5 stamps I have personally made to you guys!
You can grab them below
